What it is
Jaw filler adds structure where the line of the jaw has softened, or was never as defined as you would like, from the chin back to the angle below the ear. Placed well, it reads as a sharper outline to the lower face rather than as added volume. How much is used, and where it is placed, is decided at your consultation rather than before it.
All injectable treatments at Skinfolk are performed by our founder Dr Chloë or her sister Dr Eloise. Jaw filler is often planned alongside chin filler, because the two together shape the lower face, and both are on the same treatment list.
The filler itself is hyaluronic acid, the same material used across our dermal filler treatments, and it can be taken away again. Dissolving unwanted filler is on our treatment list at £100 for 30 minutes, whether the filler was placed here or somewhere else.

What happens on the day
Your consultation includes a thorough assessment of your concerns, facial anatomy and goals. Together we agree a bespoke treatment plan, and only then is anything injected.
The skin is cleansed and the filler is placed in small amounts along the jaw, with both sides checked against each other as we go rather than at the end. The appointment is 30 minutes with minimal downtime, so you can return to your day.
How the area settles over the days that follow, and the aftercare for the rest of the day, are talked through in clinic before you leave.
The jaw is a structural area, so balance matters more than size. We look at the chin, the cheeks and your profile before deciding how much to place, and we would rather place a little and see you again than place too much on the day.
